Jim Davis Bio
1964: Began music career playing drums with Central Ohio notable, Mark Kreis. Continued to play with Mark until 1968.
1971: Moved to Los Angeles, and performed with Safari’s (Wipeout) guitarist, Kelley Lammers. Appeared with L.A. DJ, Elliot Mince, and Little Richard.
1976: Joined One Track Mind, with Burning Diesel’s bass player, Jim Breece. Performed with “Pure Praire League” in Parkersburg WV.
Played Central Ohio area until 1979 when the band moved to Los Angeles. Also worked as studio sessionist for Kingsmill Studio, Columbus.
1980: Joined Columbus’s premier band “Romeo” and played McNasty’s on campus for several months.
1982-1992: Played mainly in Central Ohio with life long best friend Steve Brown in “Radio”, and later known as “Split Decision”.
1994-2005: Left mainstream music, wrote and produced three Christian, Gospel albums.
2006: Joined Central Ohio country rock notable Jeff Wynn, and Laredo.
2007: Formed the Lewis & Clark Duo with Steve Brown, later to become a full band with Jay Bills, and Stan Freshwater.
2009: Launched solo career, keeping the Lewis & Clark Duo/Band, as well as performing with several area Blues musicians.
Present: Currently resides on Seminole Island, Indian Lake, Ohio. Performs as a solo artist, as well as collaborates with Steve Brown, David Hyder, Keith Castle, Joe Morris (studio), Jim Breece, and Jay Bills providing a wide range of entertainment scenarios.
Equipment: Fender Stratocaster, Crate Palomino 50V, Yamaha Acoustic, Technics Keyboards.
